This kind of ai generated music is wrong and heartbreaking on so many levels. How can they say that it’s “native flute music” and that it’s “healing” when it’s the farthest thing from organic and it’s literally ai generated.

It has a soulless frequency.

Please stop clicking on this stuff.

A very dear family friend whom I consider family, sent this to me. They simply listened to the video. They didn't recognize that the picture is ai generated and they didn’t read the bio. They didn't know. But it's important that we be discerning here.

The names of these groups are are are so similar that I am able to spot them almost immediately.

I know we think ai generated media is pretty but trust me, it’s creating more harm then good.

Before sharing, read the bio. If it’s not a person and there is no IG account or website and they’ve made 1000 songs in the last month it’s likely ai.

Follow and support real artists.

If you’re making music using ai assisted tools, go the extra mile and hire a real singer or musician at the very least. Maybe create the backing track and keep supporting real art.

This is where I draw the line. I can think of at least 10 reasons why this is extremely inappropriate and heck even cultural appropriation if we’re going to go all the way with it!

If you follow me on social media and think for one moment that I am not an ally, then you don’t know me. I am always learning and always willing to work on my own shitty programming.

After many years of studying NLP I have become much more aware of my own deeply held beliefs and how quickly they can show up without me even realizing it. I don’t believe people are their behaviour, because behaviour can change. What matters is whether someone is willing to do the work.

Please know that when I curate women’s events, it is because I deeply believe that women’s spaces are incredibly important for women to feel safe. I also host all kinds of events and do my very best to make everyone feel welcome.

If my commitment to women’s spaces raises questions, I understand, and I am always open to conversation.

We need diverse spaces that allow each kind of person to feel 100% safe, and sometimes we need those spaces to be intentional and dedicated.

There are many groups I don’t belong to, and I don’t feel upset when I see those groups gathering (unless they are exploitative, then we absolutely need to name that). It’s not that I wouldn’t feel safe there, just out of place, and that’s ok.

Please, please, please do not squeeze women’s spaces out of existence. We need the values of our great great grandmothers and the wisdom carried by women through all of time. We cannot lose this. I stand for that. I hold that frequency. It is my lived experience as a biological woman, and my right to hold space and share the wisdom that comes from that experience. This does not mean I am against anyone else.

Just as we need spaces for other marginalized peoples, we need dedicated spaces for women. Especially since so much of the work of dismantling the patriarchy seems to be falling on women’s shoulders. Give us space to gather, to ground in love, and to come back into this wild world ready to keep peace and balance. Then let’s all come together and diplomatically offer our perspectives and find win win solutions that allow everyone to celebrate who they are in their heart, safely and proudly.
